Never again. Never again will I subject myself to such a sub par burrito as that which they delivered to my gullet yesterday at California Tortilla. The chicken was admittedly a bit more tender than they serve at Chipotle, but that in no way made up for the poorly wrapped tortilla that tasted way too floury and doughy. Plus I never even get the chicken at Chipotle anyway. CT's lettuce was also aging and the overcooked and slimy rice was disturbing. I have no idea what they put on that rice, but it lacks the fluffy as a cloud and delicate flavor of the superb chipotle burrito.
The only redeeming factor of the CT experience was the myriad hot sauces they offer for you to slather all over your 'rito. They probably offer this because they realize if you actually tase the 'rito, it will not be an overly pleasant experience. Then again, it's pretty impossible to make a burrito that, in the end, isn't worth eating.
